Micocin^®, CanBiocin's food technology product is based on the addition of natural LAB to foods, such as vacuum-packaged ready-to-eat meats, where LAB form a major part of the natural microbial population.

The added LAB enhance food safety through prevention of foodborne disease. This product has been granted GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) approval by U.S. Food and Drug Administration and it has been approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for addition to processed meat products.
