Micocin®, CanBiocin's food technology product is based on the addition of natural lactic acid bacteria to vacuum-packaged ready-to-eat meats. The added lactic acid bacteria act as a natural protector - enhancing the food safety through prevention of growth of pathogenic bacteria causing foodborne disease, such as Listeria.
Animal Health - Procin®
Procin®, CanBiocin's animal health product is also based on lactic acid bacteria that are naturally found in the intestinal tract of animals. The bacteria are genetically-modified to target specific pathogens of the gastrointestinal tract, such as E. coli. Procin® has been developed to aid in the prevention of E. coli scours in pigs.
